#THESHOWMUSTBEPAUSED, IMPALA POSTPONES MEMBERS AND BOARD MEETING IN SUPPORT OF #BLACKOUTTUESDAY
Brussels, 1st June 2020
In support of #BlackOutTuesday IMPALA is pausing all normal business and postponing its members and board meeting scheduled for 2 June.
IMPALA joins the wider music community to respect #BlackOutTuesday for #BlackLivesMatter. The initiative is the music sector taking a stance and reflecting, following the unacceptable death of George Floyd in Minneapolis.
Helen Smith, Executive Chair of IMPALA commented: “IMPALA has postponed its members meeting in solidarity with those who suffer violence and discrimination. This level of solidarity in the music sector‘s stance is a first. It is a very loud call for decision makers to take proper action.”
