RÉMI PLANCHENAULT

Biography

Rémi Planchenault is the Coordinator of the Belgian Independent Music Association (BIMA). Based in Brussels, he has over fifteen years of experience in the independent music sector, combining label management, international development, and cultural promotion.

He has worked with several key organisations such as IGLOO Records, one of Belgium’s leading independent jazz labels, and Wallonie-Bruxelles Musique, where he focused on export strategy, fundraising, and international representation. He now works with Emotions Group, a creative network that supports artistic production across music, literature, publishing, and audiovisual fields, fostering transversality between disciplines.

Passionate about music with a background in public and political management and economics, he has contributed significantly to the growth and promotion of independent music in Belgium and beyond. Rémi loves working on projects that bring people and music together, and he’s always looking for new ways to support the indie music scene.
