Biography
Paul Redding is the CEO of Beggars Group, one of the leading independent label groups in the world, with five primary active current labels, 4AD, Matador, Rough Trade, XL Recordings and Young. Originating in the U.K, Beggars’ USA headquarters are in New York, with offices in Los Angeles and nine other international capitals, together with joint venture companies in Spain and Australia. It is the largest owner-run group of labels in the alternative sphere. In 2020, Paul completed a mammoth 17hour swim across the channel between England and France to raise money for the PRS Foundation and the US-based Sweet Relief Music Fund. Donations to the PRS Foundation contribute to a programme supporting black musicians and professionals in the UK. Sweet Relief Music Fund’s portion of the funds go towards musicians and industry professionals affected by Covid-19 in America.
