Biography

Carolina Reis is the COO of Mermaids & Albatrosses, the first Portuguese digital distributor to become a Merlin member. She joined AMAEI as Communications Director for the IndieLights project in 2024 and since then has been collaborating in other projects on an European level, such as the BELEM project.

Before working in the independent recorded music industry, Carolina has worked for 3 years in the live music sector. Music has not only been her only career path, but has been her main passion for all her life, having studied classical music for 18 years. Born in Porto, Carolina is now working from Lisbon to find new ways to value Portuguese independent music.
