Biography
António Bexiga [Tozé Bexiga] is a Portuguese composer, musician, and producer. A multi-instrumentalist with a special focus on the viola campaniça, he moves between traditional and experimental music — both as a solo artist with his project RAIA and within the collectives dUAS Violas, Além Cabul, Lusitanian Ghosts, and Madraça.
Tozé Bexiga collaborated with artists such as Kepa Junkera, Celina da Piedade, O Gajo, Omiri, Catherina Boutari, Lenna Bahule, among others; has performed at festivals and led workshops across Europe, the Americas, Africa, and Asia. He is also one of the composers of O Céu do Pastor, the official music for Évora_27 – European Capital of Culture, and is the founder of Cia Boa Companhia.
