The tax credit in France for music companies has been extended for three years to 2015. The decision of the French government was eagerly awaited by SMEs from the music sector and shows the will of the French Ministry of Culture to accompany these SMEs in their efforts in favour of musical production in France.
The independents welcome this initiative to extend the tax credit in time, and also with a rate now increased to 30% for SMEs, but regret that the maximum rate was not increased any higher.
