The new official independent airplay charts for Europe by Nielsen/IMPALA for the first quarter of 2013 are out, showcasing independent music in Europe. The Top 20 features Saule (ft Charlie Winston) and Baauer, as well as household names such as Adele, Cro and C2C.
New entries include, among others, IMPALA European Independent Album of the Year winners The xx, Youssoupha, Big Ali (featuring Wati B), as well as Bingo Players (feat. Far East Movement) who take the second spot in the overall charts for this quarter.
The Top 10 Climbers chart highlights artists such as Showtek & Justin Prime, Shaka Ponk and DJ Antoine’s notable ascensions in the chart.

These airplay charts are part of IMPALA's bid to promote the brand of European independent music. This project, for the first time ever, monitors the success of independent music with dedicated pan-European charts. Produced by Nielsen Music as official charts provider for IMPALA, these charts bring increased coverage of independent artists' successes, addressing both the requirements of the business for information and consumers' needs for awareness and exposure. Putting a spotlight on the artists' work and the labels that make it happen benefits the whole industry.
