Last week, the Belgian Parliament adopted the local transposition of the Copyright Directive and by doing so also introduced a new right to equitable remuneration for authors and performers to be managed via the collective management system. Read IMPALA’s reaction here.

This morning, the Court of Justice of the EU dismissed the challenge brought by Poland against Article 17 of the 2019 EU Directive on copyright.
